Delbert McVay 71 of Glenwood, IA was born oct. 4, 1941 in Mills County, IA to Acie and Pearl (Gage) McVay in Mills County, IA. Delbert entered into eternal rest surrounded by his family on dec. 2, 2012 at his home in rural Glenwood, IA. He was raised in the Henderson area graduating from henderson High School in 1959.
Delbert was united in marriage to Connie Jewell on Dec. 23, 1961 in Red Oak, IA. To this union four children were born. Mark, Mike, Matt and Mara. The family resided in Silver City before moving to Glenwood in 1981. Delbert was a self-employed truck driver. He belongs to the Southwest Iowa Antique Tractor Pulling Club and was an avid tractor puller receving numerous awards.
